FIRE FIGHTERS AND EMS PROFESSIONALS

REST, RENEW, RETURN STRONG

WHY IT MATTERS

Firefighters and EMS Professionals carry the weight of repeated trauma from the moments they walk into every day, and without a place to lay that down, it follows them long after the call is over.

THE CHALLENGE IS URGENT

  • A systematic review estimates 12.3% PTSD prevalence and 18.7% depression among Firefighters and EMS Professionals, both higher than community baselines.

  • The hidden weight behind every call is that most calls are medical, trauma is repeated, and the emotional is cumulative.

  • Among Firefighters and EMS Professionals the burnout rate is over 50%. More than 23% report patient related burnout specifically.

  • Firefighters and EMS Professionals have a suicide rate of around 18 per 100,000, which is significantly higher than the general population.

OUR SOLUTION

1. Create a place to rest and reset.

Create a space where first responders can lay down the weight of their duties to slow down, feel seen, and be supported.

2. Connect them to others.

Connecting first responders strengthens their relationships and builds a supportive network that carries them beyond their time of rest.

3. Equip them with resources.

We equip Firefighters and EMS Professionals with resources that matter most, including contact information to licensed counselors who understand trauma, peer support from those who’ve walked the same path, and spiritual guidance to help them grow stronger in both their work and their personal lives.
