FIRST RESPONDER NONPROFIT

OUR VISION AND MISSION

Vision Statement

To see those who serve others restored, sustained, and able to continue their calling for the long term.

Misson Statement

Still Waters Retreat exists to create a place where direction is surrendered back to God, where hearts are searched, and where leaders experience deep and lasting restoration.

We serve Police Officers, Firefighters and EMS Professionals, Veterans, and Pastors and Ministry Leaders by providing intentional environments for rest, reflection, and renewal. Through guided retreat experiences and spiritual support, individuals are given space to slow down, process what they carry, and allow God to restore clarity, health, and vision.

Our mission is to see those who serve others sustained in their calling through rhythms of restoration that impact their lives, families, and leadership.

WHO WE ARE

Still Waters Retreat was established in response to the growing reality of exhaustion, burnout, and unprocessed trauma among those who serve others in high pressure roles. What began as a recognized need has developed into a mission supported by a growing network of donors, partners, and advocates who believe in the importance of long term restoration.

The organization serves Police Officers, Firefighters and EMS Professionals, Veterans, and Pastors and Ministry Leaders. These are individuals who consistently carry responsibility for others while often neglecting their own need for rest, reflection, and care.

Still Waters Retreat is built on both conviction and experience. The leadership behind the organization has spent years working alongside and serving these communities, gaining firsthand understanding of the pressures they face and the lack of spaces available for honest restoration. This is not a distant initiative. It is a response shaped by real relationships, real conversations, and a deep respect for those who serve.

Doug Case, co-founder, has worked closely with Police Officers, Veterans, and Pastors and Ministry Leaders throughout his ministry and nonprofit leadership. Through these relationships, he has seen both the strength and the hidden weight carried by those in these roles. This has created a personal conviction to build something that goes beyond encouragement and provides a place for real, lasting restoration.

Still Waters Retreat is supported by individuals with experience in spiritual leadership, healthcare, and community impact. This combination brings a practical and informed approach to caring for those in high stress roles, ensuring that each retreat experience is both intentional and relevant to the needs of those served.

The organization continues to grow through the support of donors, partners, and advocates who share a commitment to strengthening those who serve others.

Still Waters Retreat is not built on theory. It is built on a shared understanding that sustainable leadership requires intentional care, and a belief that when those who serve are strengthened, the impact reaches far beyond the individual into families, teams, and entire communities.
